Going Home

Our days of dogsitting have come to an end. The whole family enjoyed having Spencer stay for a few days, and I think we'll all miss having him around! I was just getting used to the 6:00 a.m. walks (ok, sometimes it was more like 6:10 - couldn't do it without the coffee!) Don't worry Mom and Dad, we took VERY good care of your dog, and made sure to spoil him before we gave him back - sound familiar?

Superman

Alec is fast becoming a movie buff just like his daddy! Today Chris took Alec to see the original Superman movie downtown at the Virginia Theater. I suggested that Alec wear his Superman pajamas to see the show, and Chris gave me a look as to say, "yea sure, you're not the one who has to be seen with him wearing his p.j.'s in public!" Guess who won! Actually, compromise was more like it - notice Alec is wearing his pajama top with jeans instead of the full Superman pajama set! Alec is proudly holding up the picture he colored for the Superman coloring contest.

After I finished fixing Julia's hair today, Alec said, "Hey, she looks like that girl on Star Wars!"

First Day of Summer Camp

This summer Alec and Julia are taking an art summer camp through our park district two mornings a week. Alec took this same class last summer and loved it, and now Julia is old enough to be in the same class as Alec. Alec was quite the overprotective brother this morning as he told Julia that he would help her and take care of her at camp. Sure enough, Alec was standing right next to Julia when I arrived to pick them up!
